Goal

I have some happy news. :-)

I am back to my goal weight, having lost a total of 10kg (and lots of centimetres). Yay!

The last few weeks have been slow going, but that is always the way when it comes to the last kilogram or two. Doesn’t really help that Christmas was thrown into the mix! But I’m very happy to have achieved my goal. It would be nice to lose another couple of kilos, but I don’t care either way. Toning up and getting my fitness back up to where I want it are the next goals on my list.

Speaking of fitness, there is another Orewa Beach 5K coming up in April. I like running, but I don’t particularly enjoy race day. However, I would like to be able to better my time from the past couple of years. So at this stage, I am thinking I will probably do it again. Once I get serious about training I will feel much more confident about the probability factor! Right now it’s still in the “maybe” basket (or should that be the “too hard” basket?) … we’ll see what eventuates.

I really should have taken some ‘before’ and ‘after’ pics, but I didn’t (and haven’t). Nevermind, I’m sure there will be ample opportunity to get some ‘after’ shots while we are on holiday next week. We are heading down to Hahei on Friday for our annual summer holiday, and then going to Parachute Music Festival. Since I haven’t actually HAD a holiday yet (apart from the statutory holidays), I am really looking forward to it!

I sooooo can’t wait to call this place home for a week …

Especially after seeing the weather forecast for the first few days …

Ah, bliss!

  1. Well done! I’m working hard trying to get to my goal weight and you are such an inspiration doing it just after Christmas! P.s. Lovely to say hi in person!

  2. Congratulations Hannah! And you should do the 5k. I hate race day too but it’s all about pushing yourself to meet your time goal and you can’t do that unless you race :) and it is not too hard for you!

I am so jealous of your upcoming holiday, enjoy every last moment :)
