WW: week 10

Well, I lost 1.4kg (3lb) this week. I’m very happy with that, especially after last week’s (small) gain.
So in 10 weeks, I have lost a total of 8.1kg (17.8lb).

BUT … even more exciting is that I have now officially lost 10% of my bodyweight!
So tonight I received my gold star charm, which will eventually hang on the key ring I receive when I reach my goal weight.

I also had to stand up front at the meeting and talk about how losing 8kg has changed me. I talked about the joy of dropping an entire dress size (but already, those “inbetween” clothes I talked about a few weeks ago are a bit loose!) and having fun trying on lots of clothes that were too small (or just really tight and uncomfortable) last summer.
I am really looking forward to my summer wardrobe. :-)

The other thing I talked about was feeling less self-conscious at the pool on Saturday. We took the boys to the Wave Pool (to make up for not going to the snow). I hadn’t worn my swimsuit since I started WW, so when I got changed at the pool, I was shocked to find it was quite baggy! And instead of being uncomfortably tight around my waist, my boardshorts were hanging loosely on my hips. That really encouraged me to keep up the hard work!

I have just over 2kg to lose before I reach my “official” goal weight. But my own personal goal is about 5kg less than that. I’d really love to get there again … and hopefully stay there this time!

  2. wow a big YAY for you Hannah well done it sounds like your getting to your goal in a good steady past…..after having Cody im loving fitting my pre baby clothes again slowly but surely ah…well done you

  3. Congratulations, Hannah, that’s great! I just can’t manage diet and exercise in the winter; I will get back into it again when it’s warmer weather. But there is no better feeling than fitting back into clothes again.

  4. Good on you :-) You have done so well.

  5. Good work, Hannah! Way to go!!

  6. That’s wonderful Hannah. You are doing so well. I have the key chain and I am very proud of it. They didn’t give it out for reaching my goal because I haven’t. I can’t remember why I got it. I have had a few slow weeks but I am back on the WW wagon.

It does feel good to go down a size. I’ve gone down 4 sizes with 7 more to go. That will bring me to a size 10 which is my goal. I don’t need to be skinny like my daughter who is a size 2. I think a size 10 will be just right for me at my age.

It is hard work but it is worth it.

  7. Wow…you’ve lost all that fast eh? Makes me think about joining!
Now that I’ll be in NZ, I really have to be beach ready :P

  8. WOW Hannah, that’s great news, hope I recognise you next time we catch up!

  9. Way to go Hannah. It’s not easy.

  13. Wow! You are doing awesome! I’m so glad you are seeing the results for your hard work!! I am still having a hard time picturing going swimming one week and then seeing snow the next week. LOL. We have extreme temperature changes here but we’re not THAT extreme! I can’t wait to hear how the snow trip goes! Congratulations on your weight loss – you are getting there. Keep it up. I’m trying to be good too, arrrgggh – it’s hard. But if I keep reading about you and Joan losing weight I will keep it up because you are both very inspiring.

  14. That is so cool, Hannah. A whole dress size!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
