Been AWOL
February 27, 2008
I haven’t blogged for a few days. Things have been a little crazy around here.
1. Tyler is sick. He’s had a fever since Sunday night and it only started to let up yesterday afternoon.
2. I had to take a sick day on Tuesday to look after him.
3. Now Rob is sick. He stayed home from work today.
4. I have tons of work (writing) to do. I just lost an hour of my work because of the *@#! temperamental system I have to use.
5. I want & need to get to the gym but have no time.
6. Hormones are playing havoc with my mood. And my skin.
7. I have a killer headache that won’t go away. Despite the ingestion of two different painkillers.
8. My floor needs vacuuming. My toilets need cleaning. There is a mountain of laundry to fold on my living room floor.
9. Ethan has athletics tonight. Rob is supposed to be an official this week but had to call in sick.
10. I’m getting my hair cut tomorrow night and I honestly don’t have time to sit there for 2 hours while my stylist simultaneously looks after 2 or 3 other clients. Does anyone else’s hairdresser do that? It drives me NUTS!
11. I have too many blogs to read on Bloglines. I’m tired of commenting.
12. Ethan wants to play soccer this year. We have to register him on Thursday or Friday night and we are busy both nights.
13. Grandma moves into the rest home on Saturday. Tonight Mum has to label every. single. item. of her clothing. I want to help her but not sure if I can leave my sick boys at home.
14. We have invites to 2 birthday parties on Saturday. We probably can’t go to either of them.
15. My kit arrived from Scrapbook Essentials on Monday. I want to play but I can’t.
16. I’m trying to finish my album for Care 2 Crop. I know I have 6 weeks to do it but I feel bad for not getting it done quicker.
Point #6 above explains a lot of things. Sorry for the negativity and apparent self-pity, but I’m honestly not looking for sympathy. Just explaining why I haven’t been blogging. Not complaining, just sayin’.
I’ll be back to my normal self soon, and a happier, more positive post will follow. I promise!
P.S. I don’t really hate commenting on blogs, I honestly enjoy it! And you are my friends, so I want to read and comment. I will keep doing it … just findingĀ itĀ a bit overwhelming at the moment, that’s all.

So know what you are saying here!!! Sometimes life gets in the way of life – and we all deserve down time. We all can only do so much – I was right where you are last Friday and not brave enough to blog about it. I have to say there is light at the end of the tunnel – at our house no one has been sick for a day now and I am hopeful I can get caught up by this weekend with everything on my plate! If I don’t oh well! So glad to know I am not the only one!
Hope things get better soon!

Hey Hannah geez babe you are one woman and you do a fab job – let yourself have a few yuck days without beating yourself up! Ive had all the sick men as well here – so can totally relate in that respect. And I really hate hormones on good days
) – its kind of sucky we get stuck with them isn’t it? I think we all have days when we want to shout “stop the world I want to get off” and it takes tremendous courage to admit it. Give yourself a few days downtime – blogs will still be there, housework never goes away and we all still love you to bits

Don’t worry about trying to do it all.
We have sickies here too and another one home from school today. Thats 4 out of 5 of us done with it.
Sometimes it does all seem overwhelming but don’t let it get to you. We understand.

Oh those kinds of days / weeks are just a pain in the bum aren’t they?!
And yes, my hairdresser is looking after at least one other while my hair colour “cooks” – but I suppose that part is OK really. But sometimes you just want to feel it’s all about you, right?!
Hope the sickies get better soon – and if you can’t vent just occasionaly, well, that’s not much fun now. I’ll just be looking forward to normal service resuming at some point

Hannah, hope the boys and Rob get well soon. It’s okay to have bad days and to rant. As for blogging who says you have to blog each day. Who says you have to comment on everyones blog. Take some time out and don’t forget to take some time for you, as already ahs been said the housework and blogs will still be there.

We all have down days where there seems to be so much to do but not enough hours in the day to get it all done. I say leave the housework and open your monthly kit and scrapbook. Hope things get better for you.

Luckily, my hairdresser only takes one client at a time, so it’s relaxing for me! Hope everyone feels better soon!

Sorry you’re having a rough time of late, I can relate to hormone issues, I’ve had them since before I had Joshie!!
Don’t stress about the care2crop album either, it’ll be done when it’s done and I’m sure it’ll be gorgeous!
Come over for a coffee if you need a break!

Awww, take care of yourself, we don’t want you catching it too! Those weeks are tough, at least it can only get better

At least getting it down ‘on paper’ so to speak helps to releive some of the stress Hannah.
It sounds like you are going through a really crappy time and everything is piling up on you.
Hang in their girl. It can’t last for too much longer now. It only takes a couple of thinkgs on your list to turn around and you’ll feel back in thedrivers seat again and in control of your life.
Just be kind to yourself and don’t expect too much.

I totally understand about loving to comment on blogs but at times feeling overwhelmed by the enormity of LIFE! You’re doing great, it probably {hopefully} made you feel good to type it all down. maybe?
Thank you for always visiting my blog & for your sweet words today!

I know how you feel, I have been there! Just take it easy and I promise things will be better soon. The pile o things to do does get overwhelming for everyone including keeping up with this blogging hobby. EVEN that gets to be too much siometimes.
Take care and feel better!

I hear ya!!! Those dang hormones are killing me too! I stopped taking birth control because I didn’t like what those did to me, but I forgot how severe my PMS is without them! I broke down in tears today
yay for soccer though! WE have a few more months before we can start soccer here for the boys…dang snow!

Well, don’t let your blogging activities make you feel down. I think we all understand how overwhelming it can be and we certainly don’t expect you to be able to comment on every post. I’m finding my blogging habits need to change too – It is getting to be physically impossible for me to visit/comment on every post of my friends. So you take care of real life and get back to us when you can. Take care and feel well and don’t feel bad when you have to say no to some parties or activities. You are only human and it’s not good to stretch yourself too thin either.

Hi ya Hannah, look after yourself … you. Take time out for YOU. Hope that the boys get better soon as well, cos that will be getting you down.
As for hormones … kick them into next week.
Smile my friend, tomorrow will hopefully be a better day and you don’t have to be SUPERWOMAN everyday ya know.

Poor you…Hannah I know the most amazing iridologist in Browns Bay – his specialty is womans health, and he is truly amazing – let me know if you want his details. Last week one of my Mum’s at work went to see him, she’s had terrible migraines along with a few other issues, she seen heaps of conventional medical specialists, MRI scans etc etc, she has to go back this Friday again, none this week, which is totally out of the ordinary for her, so I can’t describe how she’s feeling – I’ve had lots of hugs from her this week, because she just can’t believe what a difference he’s made!

Oh Hannah, you have got so much going on right now. Just take some time for you and your family. Everything else will follow once things are back to normal. Blogging is not the be all and end all, you know?! We know you luv us. We luv ya too! LOL! Hope this week gets better!

Well I dont blog too much because I feel sometimes its too negative. So much so my MIL sent me a thinking of you card after reading my blog.
Hairdresses hate that too you spend all that money they should make you feel important and just focus on one at a time.

Those damn hormones! They get the better of all of us. Hang in there and you’ll hopefully be better in a couple of days. And I sure hope Tyler is feeling better and Rob.

This may be the last thing you want to hear Hannah – but you inspired me to head to the gym tonight! Here I am with no kids, no job (well freelance work but I can do that when I want) and not a lot to do besides surf the net and send off job applications. And I make excuses for not going to the gym!
You are an amazing woman so don’t get too down when things don’t go quite to plan (but you know I can relate to that so much!!). Take care of yourself and your loved ones, and give yourself a little space to do nothing.
Lots of love and hugs
Robyn

Bah – I hope the sickies leave your house soon, Hannah – you don’t need that kinda stress!! I hope you start to see the light soon – it’s pretty sucky having that much on your shoulders!
30.
Penny | February 28, 2008 at 4:17 pm
{hug} this too will pass.
The mark all read option on bloglines is sometimes a very good button to press
As for 14… just send apologies and promises of a play date. As much as anything, you don’t want to spread the sicky around and you need the rest.

TRacy | February 28, 2008 at 9:45 pm
Hugs to you and yours Hannah, I hope things were better today for you all!

Oh Han I’m sorry you are feeling so blah!! I can empathise but my hormones are the 53 year old type!!!! Sorry my girl!
OK when this weekend is over we are gonna have lunch – just us – OK, and then we will babysit again (sleepover – coz they are forevea asking!!!) so you and Rob can chill out.
In the meantime do not worry – Leah and I got quite a bit done last night and she is helping this afternoon – Dad should be home at lunchtime. G/ma was pretty disoriented last night – thought it was morning, but then perked up – was delighted when Leah found G/Dads love letters to her – it was so funny!!! You’ll love them.
Keep on keeping on – LOVE YOU – MUM XX

Why not take a break from some things when stuff gets overwhelming. Blogs are fun and great to keep in touch and make connections – but sometimes you need you be doing other things (like maybe putting your feet up on the laundry with a good book
)

Aww poor you; what a time! Glad that Ty and Rob are feeling better! It DOES get overwhelming..everything seems to happen at once, for sure!
Take care and I will send you positive thoughts while I am away!
((hugs))

Hannah, you poor thing. And you are the kindest blogger ever. I am so sorry you were going through a rough patch, but I have to say I’m glad you blogged about it. I was feeling much the same, but so often blogland is all hydrangeas and pretty scrapbook layouts, and I didn’t want to feel like a party pooper. But I had to smile just a little as I read your post, because I could so relate, and some weeks that is just what life brings. I’m glad it’s gotten better and thanks for being you and being brave enough to post the not so nice stuff.
