No time to scrap …
September 7, 2007
I’m so very busy at the moment, and I have no time to scrap.
I’ve managed to find just enough time to keep up with the Ultimate Scrapbooking Champion contest at Scrapbook Essentials, but apart from that, I haven’t scrapped for at least 2 weeks.
Here is my layout for challenge #4, which was to use at least 2 black & white photos, with a black OR white background and only one other accent colour.
I printed my photos onto white bazzill, to make it look like canvas.
TYLER

And here is my layout for challenge #5, which was to create a double layout about a “challenge” in your life.
I did mine about my Weight Watchers journey in 2001 — I lost 15kg, reached my goal weight, and became a lifetime member. I’m currently about 6kg over that goal weight, but I’m working on getting closer.
GOAL WEIGHT

As I was cleaning up my scrap desk yesterday, I found a pile of layouts that I started at an all-day crop last month (and finished off at home that night). I realised I hadn’t shared any of them on my blog, so here they are:
LOVE MY BOY

MONKEYS

It was Rob’s idea to put a picture of a wedge of cheese on this layout. I wasn’t sure about it (and I’m still not!) but he reckoned it would work, and I trusted him!
STITCHED WITH LOVE

SCRAP PINK
And speaking of scrapbooking, Paper Pesto are hosting a Scrap Pink day on Sunday 30th September as part of a worldwide scrapbooking weekend in support of Breast Cancer research.
It will be held at Atomic Coffee Roasters Cafe in Kingsland from 10am to 4pm. There will be classes in both layouts and cards, as well as make & takes (one done by yours truly!) and spot prizes galore!
Cost will be $20 for a full day and $10 for a half/pop in with all money raised going to the NZ Breast Cancer Foundation. Wear something PINK!
To register, check out the Paper Pesto blog or email contactus@paperpesto.co.nz … look forward to seeing you there!

Wow! Hannah – these are great! No wonder you have no time to do it – because you do such a careful, detail-oriented, paintstaking job. They are all wonderful. You are a knockout in the weight watchers pics. And for some reason I really DO like the cheese on the boys’ page. It’s like it just needed that little bit of yellow in that corner. LOL. I could look at your pics all day.

Yes your scrapbook pages are stunning! There’s so much work involved here! I know how frustrating it is when you don’t have time or can’t make your art. I hope you can find time for it soon!

Great layouts Hannah and you are doing so well with your layouts in the SE comp. As you have said though if you can get through the next few weeks you will be back into scrapping big time.

wow Hannah, your layouts are all so beautiful and inspiring.
I know the feeling about no time to scrap. I have just been keeping up with the SE challenges and thats it. sometimes life gets to busy, but we all need to grab some “ME time” when we can.
Good luck in the challenge

Hey Hannah – before I forget I just wanted to mention I noticed your new avatar icon thingy and the new pic you have of yourself looks great. I don’t know when you did it so I might be a little slow, but better late than never, right? LOL

Oh, wow, what a lot of eye candy there! Love them all. I had to giggle at the cheese, sounds like Rob is like my Steve and likes to have a little bit of input into your work. I think the cheese works. I love the photo on that layout too. Your boys look so happy and like they are such great friends.

You’ve got some great ones there Hannah. I’ve just spent this afternoon scrapping and cardmaking because I felt it’s been so long since I did it just for the sake of it. It felt really good and relaxing.
